<p>Many anti-aging products nowadays guarantee customers with favorable effects.  However, what these customers don&#8217;t know is that if they are to maximize the effects of these anti aging diet care methods, they must do their share of limiting themselves to eating healthy foods, lowering calories, and increasing their fluid intake.</p>
<p>Studies have shown that reducing foods with high calorie is one of the best first step to start in the fight against aging.  High calorie in our body can increase the risks of health diseases which are mostly associated with aging.  Thus, reduced calorie in our body will mean reduced chances of developing diseases and deficiencies that come along with age.</p>
<p>Facts and figures tell us that people in their 50s who have healthy lifestyles and healthy food diet, limiting their calorie intake to a minimum, have normal blood pressures and have very little risks of heart diseases and hypertension.  On laboratory experiments on animals, primates and rats also exhibit longer life span than those of others that are placed on high-calorie diets.</p>
<p>According to Hormesis Hypothesis of calorie restriction, the amount or level of calorie in our body affects our stress tolerance level.  Since stress is one of the primary causes or factors of aging, people who are aiming to delay aging should also necessarily lower calorie, consequently increasing stress tolerance and delaying aging.</p>
<p>While controlled calorie intake has been proven to improve overall health, simply eating healthier foods as part of your anti aging diet care plan could already make a big difference. Fruits and vegetables are well-known for their anti aging qualities because of the antioxidants they contain. Other foods also contain age-fighting qualities. Here are more specific foods that may help in improving overall health:</p>
<p>Berries &#8211; berries of any kind contain antioxidants which is a primary weapon against anti-aging because it prevents free radicals from damaging your cells.</p>
<p>Avocados &#8211; Avocados are excellent fruits to help delay aging since it contains potassium which lowers blood pressure, monounsaturated fat which reduces bad cholesterol, as well as Vitamin E which helps maintain healthy and glowing skin.</p>
<p>Nuts &#8211; Nuts contain high levels of protein and minerals that strengthens the body&#8217;s immune system.  It also helps repair damaged body cells, making it an excellent diet for those on an anti-aging diet care.</p>
<p>Garlic &#8211; This has been known to prevent heart disease.</p>
<p>Cruciferous vegetables &#8211; cruciferous vegetables include radish, cauliflower, and broccoli.  Most cruciferous vegetables are known to prevent cancer and the degeneration of cells in the body, thus, delaying aging.</p>
<p>Water therapy is one of the more popular forms of anti-aging diet care methods and health practices we have today.  When the body is not getting the adequate water it needs relative to the physical activities it performs on a daily basis, dehydration may likely happen.  Dehydration, in turn, may cause stress-induced damage on our body&#8217;s cells.  Therefore, the more physical stressed-out a body is, the more it requires to be hydrated.</p>
<p>Fasting, or the deliberate avoidance of any kind of food and drinking only water for a considerable amount of time, is also an excellent way to help you in your anti-aging diet care plan.  Keeping the body hydrated but free from any solid food once in a while can help detoxify the body, thus, ridding it of toxins that hastens aging.</p>

The purification system that works best for your needs is always the best one for you.</p>
<p>When considering home water purifiers, you&#8217;ll want to learn about their filter systems. Do you need to change filters frequently? This is an issue for some filter types, and it&#8217;s important not just because of cost but because of the convenience factor. If you neglect to change your filter frequently enough, the water you drink just before filter changes could be more contaminated than unfiltered water. If you&#8217;re the sort who will put off such tasks, you should probably invest in a system that does not require changes.</p>
<p>You should know about contaminants home water purifier systems remove. Home water purification systems remove different contaminants, depending on the system you&#8217;re using. Compare that with your regular bottled water costs, and decide for yourself whether it&#8217;s a net gain.</p>
<p>General types of home water purification systems are as follow. Reverse osmosis systems involve putting a tank under your sink for a passive osmotic removal of contaminants, and supply you with bottled-water-quality drinking water. UV systems kill any living organism in your water without contaminating it with chlorine or other harmful chemicals; this is a great option if you depend on well or spring water. Activated carbon filters remove many types of contaminants and are inexpensive in comparison to others, but they will need frequent changes. And shower filters, using KDF-55 filters, remove contaminants in your shower water, softening the water and eliminating harmful chlorine. Examining the other differences between these basic types will help you make an intelligent and informed decision about which water filtration system is best for you.</p>

Certainly better late than never, there are some differences between the Mediterranean Diet and the traditional American diet worth noting.<br />&#10;<br />&#10;The US Food Pyramid is markedly different from the Mediterranean Diet food pyramid. The Mediterranean Diet contains very little red meat, for starters. Red meat is used in their cooking, but not often and in very small portions. Taking up a big portion of the Mediterranean Diet food pyramid is fish. The US Food pyramid, on the other hand, groups all the different meats into one category.<br />&#10;<br />&#10;What make up the main staple of Mediterranean fare are whole grain foods, like bread and rice, couscous, potatoes, and other such things. Nuts and beans are another important part of the Mediterranean diet. So are fruits and vegetables in particular. It is, however, quite possible to stick to a healthy diet while occasionally enjoying a restaurant meal. It&#8217;s all about making good food choices, which starts with learning about the nutrition you need to stay happy, physically healthy, mentally stable, and active. <br />&#10;<br />&#10;When you pick up the menu, start by skipping over the drinks section. Although you may be tempted to enjoy a beer or mixed beverage with your dinner, these usually have many empty calories, which is not good for your body. The exception to this rule when it comes to alcohol is wine, especially red wine, which can be fine if you have a single glass and can actually help prevent heart disease for some patients. <br />&#10;<br />&#10;Also skip over the appetizer menu, unless it&#8217;s a side salad. Most restaurant appetisers are high-fat foods, which can make you crave more of the same. Some examples are potato skins, nachos, mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. Instead, simply focus on your main course or, if you must indulge, share a single serving with the entire table of people. <br />&#10;<br />&#10;You should carefully check the ingedients in the main dish you select Anything with cream sauces or high-fat meats should be avoided, and pass up the potatoes or onion rings. Instead order side dishes like vegetables or ask for just the main course when possible.<br />&#10;<br />&#10;Portion size is also important. When possible, order from the lunch menu. Ask for a doggie bag at the beginning of the meal. Split your meal in half from the start so that you are not tempted to eat the entire thing, which is usually enough for two or three portions. <br />&#10;<br />&#10;After the meal, skip dessert. If you&#8217;re really tempted, share a dessert with the whole table, or split the portion in half. Bear in mind that the desserts served in restaurants may have more calories than the rest of the meal. On special occasions, you can cheat a little, but you should learn to resist temptation in order to stick to healthy eating.</p>
